Book Review: “How to Talk so CEOs Listen”

If you sell to or consult with executives (VPs, C-suite), read this book - seriously.

Ammar shares brilliant, hard-won wisdom from his experience as a young project manager and now a consulting titan about how to connect with executives in a way that gets the job done the right way.

If you're not speaking their language, focusing on what's important to them (results), you're going nowhere fast, except out the door.

I've been in sales for over 25 years and have both crafted and heard thousands of questions to ask prospects and clients. Yet there are two sample questions on page 81 that I immediately circled and will change the way I ask questions. I believe I had asked similar questions, but certainly not with such force and clarity.

Page 46 lays out the very simple formula for gaining and keeping an executives attention during a conversation or presentation.

Page 38 has the 3 things to remember when walking "into an executive's playing field" that will keep you on the right track.

The entire book is rife with examples of what not to do, which will no doubt save you time, energy, money, and good will AND definitely make you more successful when dealing with executives.

Great work, Ammar. Thank you for sharing your experience and wisdom.
